Why Choose Beach Road Medical Centre

Choosing a GP is choosing a partner in your health. At Beach Road Medical Centre, our accredited team combines genuine expertise with the time and patience to actually listen so you get care that's thorough, honest, and built around you. Here's what that looks like in practice.

Why Warwick Locals Choose
Beach Road Medical Centre?

01

Trusted, Fully Accredited Care

Beach Road Medical Centre is a privately owned, fully accredited General Practice built on trust, respect and understanding. Every patient is treated with the kindness, dignity and respect they deserve the same standard the practice has built its reputation on since opening its doors in Warwick.

02

Doctors Who Take the Time to Listen

Our GPs, Dr Myintzu Hla (MBBS, FRACGP, MRCP UK) and Dr Lwin War War Han (MBBS, FRACGP, DCH) bring specialist training in women's and children's health, chronic disease management and dermatology, and consult in both English and Burmese. Care here is patient-centred: tailored treatment plans built around your history and your goals, not a one-size-fits-all consult.

03

Comprehensive Care Under One Roof

From chronic disease management, skin checks and mental health support to women's and men's health, child health, travel medicine, immunisation, iron infusions and cosmetic/laser treatments patients can cover most of their healthcare needs without being referred elsewhere.

04

Accessible, Affordable Healthcare

Beach Road Medical Centre bulk bills eligible patients children under 12, DVA Gold Card holders and pension card holders registered with MyMedicare on weekdays, with discounted fees available for Health Care Card holders. Cost should never be the reason someone puts off seeing their doctor.

05

Convenient Hours, When You Need Us

Open Monday to Saturday with extended weekday hours and Saturday morning appointments, plus online booking, Beach Road Medical Centre is built to fit around real, busy lives not the other way around.

06

A Careful Approach to Prescribing

Our doctors do not prescribe opioids or benzodiazepines, reflecting a conservative, evidence-based approach that prioritises patients' long-term health and wellbeing in life over short-term fixes.

Dr Lwin is very thorough and always explains the diagnosis so you know exactly what treatment is required and why. I have not had to wait more than 20 minutes for my booked appointment.
