What Is Mixed Billing?

Mixed billing means some patients are bulk billed, while others are charged a private fee with a Medicare rebate available where applicable.

This model allows us to continue delivering comprehensive, high-quality care despite rising operational costs and limited increases in Medicare rebates.

Bulk Billing Eligibility

Bulk billing does not apply to Saturday appointments, procedures or mental health care plans.

We are committed to maintaining bulk billing for the following groups for weekday appointments, provided they are registered with MyMedicare:

Children under 12 years
DVA Gold Card holders
Pension Card holders

Private Billing

Private fees apply to:

  • All Saturday appointments
  • All procedures
  • Mental Health Care Plans

Medicare rebates are processed at the time of payment where applicable.

Appointment Fees & Policies

Appointment Length

We offer appointments of varying lengths to suit your medical needs.

If your consultation extends beyond the originally scheduled time, additional charges may apply based on the duration used. For example, if a standard 15-minute appointment extends beyond 20 minutes, it will be billed at the longer consultation rate.

Non-Attendance
& Late Cancellation Fees

To ensure fairness to all patients and respect our doctors’ time:

  • $35 fee for missed standard appointments
  • $50 fee for missed long appointments
  • $20 late notice fee if less than 2 hours’ notice is provided

Medical Records
Transfer

A fee of $35 applies for the transfer of
medical records to another practice.

Non-Medicare Rebatable Consultations

The following services are privately billed and are not eligible for a Medicare rebate:

Workers’ compensation consultations
Pre-employment medical assessments/investigations
Driver’s licence medicals (private and commercial)
Dangerous goods licence medicals
HUET
medicals
Fitness for duty assessments
Legal and insurance medical reports
